the gold standard
BPCA accredited pest control services.
The BPCA (British Pest Control Association) is a non-profit trade association with strict criteria that we, as a pest control company, must meet. These criteria include:
- Adequate insurance
- Professional Qualifications – All technicians must be trained to a minimum of RSPH Level 2 to ensure technicians adhere to the highest standards.
- CPD (Continual Professional Development) – To remain a member of the organisation, all company technicians must attend yearly training courses and events to accrue enough points.
- CRRU Code of Practice – Companies must follow the CRRU guidelines on the use of rodenticides, to minimise their impact on the environment.
The BPCA aren’t just there to help members but also to protect consumers and ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard. That’s why you can ensure Eastern Counties Pest Control will always make sure we leave you happy but don’t just take our word for it, check out our reviews.
the more humane alternative.
experts in rodent trapping.
Non-toxic, an alternative to rodenticide.
No risk of secondary poisoning.
A more humane option.
There is a big focus on human impact on the environment, and pest control is no different. In recent years there has been a push in our industry to reduce the use of chemicals or “poisons”, which Eastern Counties Pest Control has taken very seriously, investing heavily in the training of our staff and increasing our stocks of approved traps for the treatment of rats, mice, squirrels and moles.
Not only does the use of traps reduce waste, but it is also more humane, efficient and lessens potential environmental damage. Most of our domestic rat and mouse treatments are now undertaken without the use of any rodenticide, therefore reducing the risk of rotting carcasses and bad smells.
So, if you’re worried about your pets or kids, and would like help from the trapping experts, give us a call!

Reliable, friendly and efficient
Eastern Counties Pest Control has been helping us keep all rodents at bay throughout every season of living in a farmhouse in rural Essex. We have regularly called on them to help with moles, rats and mice as well as cluster flies in our loft and wasps’ nests. Always good humoured and responsive, very tidy and cautious with domestic animals, we could not think of a more reliable and helpful service. Thank you to every member of the team who help us with all pest control.

Excellent Service – will use again
I have used Eastern Pest Control twice - once for a wasps nest and once for a rat/ mice problem. On both occasions, they came to see me quickly, were very courteous and attentive, and quickly got to work sorting out the problem. Both times, it was sorted out very well. I will definitely use them again.

We had a squirrel in our attic
We had a squirrel in our attic. Never underestimate the damage a squirrel can do to joists and wires, none of which is covered by house insurance. Eastern Counties Pest Control, once contacted, were fast and efficient, they set a trap and the problem was resolved within a week. The staff are personable. Reasonable fees. Would definitely use again and would highly recommend.

The blog in June set out to answer a few questions on wasps – the usual pest of the summer. It’s been widely reported over the last few weeks that this seems to be the summer without wasps, thanks to the unusually cold and wet weather. But there is one insect pest that will not […]
It happens a lot in the summer months. We’re called out to deal with wasps, only to find that the wasps are bees. If you ask anyone to draw a bee, they will probably draw the fuzzy buzzy bumble-bee – ask them to draw a wasp, and they’ll draw a slimmer, sleeker insect, both of […]
Not all of them. The main species you are likely to notice in Britain are the common wasp (Vespula vulgaris) or the German wasp (Vespula germanica). These are the bright yellow and black flying insects with a loud buzz. The queens of these species will have mated last autumn and found a dark and dry […]
